Travel & Leisure Magazine picks Panama

Today Show host, Matt Lauer spoke with Travel & Leisure magazine editor to discuss the hottest destinations for 2012.

One of the top places to visit was Panama City, Panama.  This area is experiencing quite a boom, so much so the New York Times has covered it twice in the past year. This speaks volumes about the destination as the New York Times travel section is the authority on all things travel.

After a hard day of Marlin tagging a great way to relax is on sunset deck at Islas Secas. This new deck is perched cliffside overlooking Glass Beach Cove and is a five minute walk from the main resort area.

Sunset deck is one of the best places on the planet to watch a fiery sunset, enjoy a Panamanian styled cocktail and let the world pass you by.  A wonderful way to end the day!

It’s Tagging Season

"Black Marlin"

Carter Andrews, direct from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, another renowned fishing destination in the United States, is back at the resort for a third season.

Carter has arrived just in time to join his fishing posse; Dr. Eric Prince (the leading authority on Marlin in the world) plus his sidekick John Hoolihan, and guest anglers; John Brownlee, Carey Chen, and Bear Holeman who are assisting Andrews with tagging 15 Black Marlin for the 2011 Billfish Foundation Satellite Tagging Expedition.
